general exchange letter

note: feel free to query via a mod if there's any points of confusion in my sign-up or letter!

likes:

sfw: character studies, canon divergences, missing scenes, characters as outsider perspectives to each other, glimpses of a larger AU, worldbuilding, forced proximity, amperslash dynamics, reluctant allyship, characters with a focused and transparent ranking of priorities, amicable enemies, exes who are weird and complicated about each other, siblings who are weird and complicated about each other, bonds that are incomprehensible from outside-looking-in, messy power dynamics, characters who are trying to bite each other both verbally and not, unapologetic apathy/indifference between characters technically helping each other, allies who don't and shouldn't trust each other, telepathy, wingfic, complicated mentorship, tension; nonmonogamy in the form of entangled and interconnected webs, a-day-in-the-life revolving around a character’s occupation/job/schemes, casefic, fantasy politics, fairytale elements, xanatos gambits, insurmountable ideological divides, (queer)platonic life partnerships, friends-with-benefits or enemies-who-fuck, apocalypse AUs, training arcs, time loops, grief/mourning, unreliable narrators.

nsfw: PWP-as-character-study; un(der)negotiated kink; power play; nonsexual kink or D/s dynamics (meditations on characters and control are always appreciated); edging + overstimulation; sadism/masochism; manhandling; non-penetrative sex; playfulness; awkwardness; dubcon; fight sex; proxy sex; grief sex. i tend to care more for whether the writing feels like the characters themselves than whether it's something i find objectively hot; feel free to try to convince me into something i wouldn't have otherwise thought of, and if you're unsure about something, feel free to reach out through a mod. that being said: not a DNW nor priority, but would place humiliation + formalized/structured punishment in a kink context as soft dislikes.

opt-ins: second-person pov, suicide/suicidal ideation, self-harm, disordered eating, genderbends/rule 63/always a girl AUs, unrequested identity headcanons (i.e. gender, sexuality, mental illness, etc), fusions in unrequested fandoms (i.e. [characters from requested fandom] follow the overarching plotline of or live in the world of [unrequested fandom]), canon pregnancy.

dnws:

sfw: character bashing; kidfic (i.e. oc fankids; singular focus on canon adults as children (canon/canon-adjacent backstory is fine)); non-canon pregnancy; infantilization of child characters; pure fluff (it's fine so long as you make an effort; i'm just probably not the best recip for wall-to-wall plotless/uncomplicated cuteness); established couple + unicorn as a dynamic in polyamory, unrequested incest, non-canon family designations (e.g. [A] is [B, their mentor figure they met two days ago]'s child). if a character is significant to another character in canon, don't AU or otherwise write that (and any adjacent intensity in their relationship) out of existence (e.g. if [A] and [B] are canonically siblings who grew up together, please don't make them unrelated strangers; it's fine so long as you make an effort). please no lingering on unrelated-to-canon irl modern politics/political events.

nsfw:
anything related to watersports/scat, daddy/mommy kink, ageplay, omegaverse, breeding/lactation/pregnancy, D/s with more than 2 people in the room (nonsexual is fine), mindbreak (temporary/defined more loosely is fine; i just don't want porn/hentai bad ending style), underage below 15, rape/noncon (on-screen violent, explicit rape/noncon is a no; past or off-screen rape/noncon is fine if it isn't lingered on; dubcon (defined very broadly) is fine)
